McDonald's Brings Back Pokémon Happy Meal With Match Battle Version of Trading Card Game

Earlier this week, fast food giant McDonald's took to Twitter to tease the return of the Pokémon Happy Meal, one of the most popular Happy Meal promotions owing to the typical inclusion of exclusive collectibles and booster packs for the evergreen card game.

To follow up on that tweet, The Pokémon Company released more details on the contents of this version of the Happy Meal, which features a cut down version of the trading card game that it calls Match Battle. Each Happy Meal will be bundled with the following for instant one-on-one play with no additional purchase necessary:
- 4-Card Booster (each booster pack contains 1 foil card)
- 1 Instruction Sheet
- 1 Coin
- 1 Spinner
- 1 Card Box
The latest Pokémon Happy Meal will be available until mid-September at participating US McDonald's locations.
